I can’t remember the last time I felt so excited, energetic and free.
I took pictures with every character on the island and was overwhelmed by the little Maya in me who couldn’t stop laughing.
I ran around from one childhood memory to another and went down slides that were too small for adults, but not for me.
From time to time I stopped and asked Oli “where are the kids?” we looked at each other and invented a story for our imaginary children “they are eating ice cream” and so we went to join them.
“They were indescribably beautiful, and they seemed to be aware of it. They danced coquettishly, freely and openly, for themselves, for each other, for the island, for the sea – it seemed to be all the same to them” – Tove Jansson.
I want to be there with you
Let’s never grow up, not completely
